Problems with Ad-Aware?

hey, i've been trying to scan with ad-aware every day for about a week but each time it seems to freeze as soon as it gets to a file called:

i386\npds.zip

this is especially annoying as before it crashes it spots 4 critical objects. but as it freezers every time i cannot remove these objects.

i've tried leaving it for hours, all night even but it never get past that file and seems to freeze with the egg timer appearing every time i run the curser over it.

so have to close it down by clicking on the red X.

i have kept it up to date and even removed it and installed it again a few times but its still freezing half way through scans.

i have windows defender and agv anti spyware/virus (running normally) programs but they don't seem to spot the 4 critical objects ad-aware does before it crashes.

thanks for reading!

I use ad-ware, might I suggest that you re load the software onto your pc, operate a system re-boot and then try again. Ad-ware works!
Try spybot search %26 destroy. If you have Netscape Navigator on your computer remove it.
try downloading another scanning program - head on over to the linked site and you should find some in the software section!!!
Go to www.superantispyware.com and download the Free version.
Windows Defender is nothing more then another resource hungry application. Latest test show that it only detected 30-40% of spyware attacks over the network so I would recommend you to uninstall it, unless you want an aditional process in your background :D.
